You will choose one modern word from above that didn’t exist in ancient Greek or Roman times and create "Neo-Latin" translations based on your knowledge of Latin roots, grammar, and word formation.

Translation Guideline：

Participants must use Latin vocabulary and word formation rules to create their translations.

They can draw from:

• Existing Latin vocabulary
• Compound words (e.g., combining two Latin words)
• Affixes (prefixes, suffixes) to modify meanings

Translations must be grammatically correct and follow Latin conventions for word gender and declension.

Explain Your Choices:

Each participant must provide a short explanation (Minimum 150 Words and no longer than 300 Words) of how they arrived at their translation.

Entry Requirements

Entry is open to students from any country and any school. Candidates must be 18 years old, or younger, on the date of the submission deadline.

Prize:

The winner for each word will receive a 200RMB / 30 USD prize!
