Artificial Intelligence in Mental Health

Abstract

This paper examines the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of mental health, encompassing exploration through the opportunities, challenges, and considerations. As AI progressively became prevalent in society, its utilization extends beyond expertise, manifesting as a tool to assist humans, especially in the field of individuals’ mental health and well-being. Furthermore, AI technologies are being developed to provide valuable feedback for people in the diagnosis and therapeutic processes. This paper argues the impact of AI on adults, proposing both positive and negative effects through the concepts in psychology, as well as advising some solutions. While AI has great potential in health care by increasing accessibility and enhancing analytics, it is important to provide a balance between AI and preserve human intervention in mental health treatment.
